Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart: Engaged!

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart: Engaged!

Devoted readers of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight saga know that Eclipse is the volume in which conflicted vampire Edward Cullen and reluctant virgin Bella Swan finally get engaged.
That means, of course, that at some point on the Vancouver set of the novel’s big-screen incarnation, Robert Pattinson will whip out a ring and ask real-life love Kristen Stewart, “Will you marry me?”
Life might just imitate art.
As if their millions of fans collectively willed it — the blistering-hot young actors are truly, madly, deeply in love. So much so that, as OK! reported last week, they’re spending nights together in Rob’s suite at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre. And things have gotten so serious that on-set sources say the young superstars are even playing up their romance on set.
“If Kristen is looking for Rob, she’ll say, ‘Has anyone seen my husband?’’’an insider tells OK!. “And Rob loves to say, ‘Have you met my lovely wife, Kristen?’ It’s cute. They’re like a couple of love-struck teenagers.”
Amid intense are-they-or-aren’t-they speculation, Robsten had kept their relationship under the radar in recent weeks — but then burst out of the closet with an unabashed make-out session among legions of fans at the Aug. 15 Kings of Leon concert held in Vancouver’s GM Place arena.
But since that public PDA, they’ve been sneaking around after dark like — well, like a couple of vampires. “There are those subtle pats and glances on set, but they save the real kisses for after the sun goes down, late at night, when you see them disappear into their hotel,” another source tells OK!.
Why so shy all of a sudden? To paraphrase another sprawling screen saga (The Godfather): It’s business. Twilight’s producers have told Robsten to keep their love on the down low — at least until after the November release of New Moon, the second film of Stephenie Meyer’s series, in which Bella gets involved with hunky werewolf Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner.
It’s all about suspension of disbelief. The studio bosses “fear that if a romance between Rob and Kristen is confirmed,” the insider says, “Twilight fans won’t buy into the screen chemistry between Taylor and Kris.”

Twilight's Scream-ing success

Monday, 19 October 2009

'Twilight' was the big winner at last night's Scream Awards (18.10.09).
The vampire franchise won four accolades at the star-studded ceremony at the Greek Theatre in Hollywood, including Best Fantasy Movie, while its two main lead stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were named Best Fantasy Actor in the Female and Male categories respectively.
Their co-star Taylor Lautner won Breakout Performance Male, while 'Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen' starlet Isabel Lucas was named Breakout Performance Female.

She said: "I would like to take this moment to actually say something genuine. There have been a lot of false reports concerning how I feel about this movie and I just want to be very clear that I've always felt that I am a very ordinary part of an extraordinary film.
"These movies took me out of obscurity and they gave me a career and I am completely grateful to everyone involved with this franchise."
Earlier this year, she said of the film: "Unless you're a seasoned veteran, working with Michael Bay is not about an acting experience."
Other winners at the ceremony included 'True Blood', which was named Best TV Show, and J.J. Abrams who was handed the Best Director prize for his work on 'Star Trek'.

Robert Pattinson feels like Justin Timberlake

Robert Pattinson never expected to be as famous as he is today.
The Twilight star is the most in demand actor on the planet at the moment, with the ability to make any girl weak at the knees.

He told Empire magazine: "That dawned on me at Comic-Con.
"Walking out onto that stage was the weirdest experience of my life. It was like being in 'N Sync.
"Your mind can't process it. Afterwards I was like, 'Wow, I was just in a room with 7000 girls screaming at me!'"
Rob now knows what it's like for Justin Timberlake and Brad Pitt every day.
He can't do simple things like shopping or going to the park without being recognised.

It's like a Beatles concert at the Twilight panel at Comic-Con, with more screaming female teens and preteens than I've heard since sixties archival footage of John Lennon. The stars discussed the transformation of their characters.
The actor who plays Jacob discussed having to change himself physically, and said he hopes the fans are pleased with his transformation. Kristen Stewart seemed bewildered and inarticulate and talks about how she physically changed herself from her appearance in the film. She said she had much to "go through" to prepare for the part.
Robert Pattison was the lone voice of humility, saying he mostly had to stand on a green box and let "the machines do the work for me, which is the way I like it."
Chris Weitz briefly introduced a clip to the movie, also saying that the books appealed to him because he could identify with Bella since he'd been dumped so many times in his life.
The clip from the film was a scene that showed Jacob trying to teach Bella how to ride a motorcycle, only for her to see vestigal images of Edward. She attempts to drive the motorcycle, crashes, hits her head, and Jacob comforts her by taking off his shirt and showing off his eight-pack to screams of delight from the fans in the audience.
Most of the guys in the audience waited grumpily for the panel to end.
"She's kind of all over the place, but she's okay with it," Stewart said about her part.
"I hope I'm more like friendly and outgoing than this dark, disturbed monster," the actor playing Jacob said. "You're not a monster," Stewart interrupted.
"I look a bit like him," Pattison said about what he brings of himself to the role.
"We could not be more pleased and tickled with them," director Weitz said about the fan reaction New Moon videos. He suggested doing a fan reaction video in response to the fan reaction videos. "Everywhere the camera pointed there were hundreds of fans there," he said of filming in Italy, "which was great." "It was just the sheer logistics of getting through all the fans to get to the camera." He said it was difficult just getting to the bathroom.
